| Even if they offer the mid-level to Caldy, his agent would not be stupid to accept it. Colangelo would match it in a second. | |

| The only thing going for Miami in their favour is their Hispanic culture. Everything else seems like a bad fit for him. | |

| Just a writers opinion and absolutely nothing substantial.
Although I do like how the writer points out how difficult it is for any team to find a quality PG... yet we are blessed with two!

| it would take either the pick or marion, so if they're willing to offer one of those things the raps should talk to them | |

| Jose thought Spanish night at the ACC was too 'Mexican', so all they have to do is convince him that Miami is too 'Cuban' and they are golden. | |

| Nothing to worry about, that can be matched easily. | |

| The article isn't suggesting that Jose is a likely prospect. In fact, it suggests otherwise.
A good target for Miami with the MLE? Beno Udrih. Playing well in SAC, young, an unrestricted free agent with no Bird rights - that's a big headache for SAC. They want him but can't match a full MLE, not unless Artest opts out.

But we gave Kapono the MLE so I think that players who often recieve it, don't deserve it. They just happen to be in the right place at the right time.

If they offer it to Calderon BC would sign Calderon to a deal like that and send over a bottle of "Dom Perignon" to the Heat for doing that.

| Is there any way the Raptors could offer/sign Calderon with an offer before any other teams?
That way you don't have desperate teams throwing 10 mil+ at Calderon and us having to match...just beat them to the punch. The only thing would be Jose and his agent wanting to field offers to see where his potential salary could rise to if it was all about the money.
I have no idea on RFA works, someone clear that up...
