Arizona wants to arm it's students

Let's encourage the demographic of the population most likely to be fueled up on alcohol or other altering substances, who are statistically most likely to be involved in low-level violent confrontations with each other and are the most emotionally amped up to carry concealed weapons.

Students/teacher carrying guns would escalate many situations. A better idea would be to have a police officer in every campus.

Even less reason to be a teacher or a campus speaker. Dealing with suicidal kids. Mentally unstable kids. Drugged up kids. Idiot kids. Now you've got suicidal, mentally unstable drugged up idiot kids with guns. And then you'll have armed kids intimidating and bullying other kids, or the other way around, and there will be an arms race where everyone will want to be armed and dangerous and protected. It won't even matter if they can't qualify for a license if they take someone else's gun or find a lost gun. What's next, deputize the favored armed groups, Young Guns style? Wild West World lives again.

I would also like to see a provision that allows criminally insane people (who often act a lot more "normal" than some college kids) to carry concealed weapons too.

After all, aren't the criminally insane also Americans? Why wouldn't "reading the second amendment" apply to them?

People who carry guns to commit crimes are going to no matter what and will get them anyway how. This is just for the people who want to protect themselves on campus. Imagine if you were a mugger who knew about this law, that anyone could be packing on campus. Maybe I'm a little skewed here because on the campus of UWM there have been a very high amount of muggings, and people have no way to protect themselves at night. And this doesn't mean everyone will start packing heat, I would guess a small percentage actually would follow through.

Anyone can get a gun at anytime. It is seriously not that hard in America, and that's sad.
