WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The former head of the Central Intelligence Agency's covert service whom sources say ordered the destruction of videotapes has requested immunity before testifying on Capitol Hill next week, a congressional source familiar with the negotiations told CNN.

So these tapes have been sitting around for 3 years with no problem, but all of a sudden, there is a "risk" that they would be leaked?

Anyone wonder if the torture tactics might be used to elicit a false admission of guilt from some of these terrorist suspects?
I know that if they dunked my head in water enough times I'd admit to just about anything
